Here’s a photo of the house that we live in on the farm. Not sure of the exact date, sometime in the late 1800’s. There was a house fire in the 1960’s so the roof lines are now different but it’s still very much recognizable. The barn has been replaced with a larger structure and the board fence is gone, a flowering hedge in it’s place. Despite the changes, I’m grateful that photos like this exist and that I’m part of a family that cherishes history. There’s value in recognizing the past and having deep roots in one place.
